Roger Rojas-Morgan State 01 Roger Rojas was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York.  In 2001, he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Morgan State University.  He currently works in the financial sector where he has over 15 years of experience in banking and monetary policy.  Roger is a well-rounded professional with broad experience as a Business and Community leader coupled with a passion for providing STEM education to underserved youth.  He has held numerous appointments including leadership advisory board for the Black Girl’s Code NY Chapter and current President of the Morgan State University NY Metro Chapter.  Currently he is looking into ventures including Restaurant Hospitality and developing non-profit STEM outreach programs.  Roger can be reached at Roger.R.Rojas@gmail.com

                                            Alize Beal-Howard 12 Alize Beal is a entrepreneur and young philanthropist working to bring change in her community as well as the global world.  With over eight years of experience in philanthropy and community outreach, Alizé Beal currently serves as the Community Outreach Manager for Big Brothers Big Sisters of NYC focused on increasing partnership with civic and corporate companies, as well as community and professional leaders to increase the number of minority mentors in the program.   Beal has a passion for the youth and is zealous in helping them attain their highest potential. She has served as a spokes model for Ending Violence against Women, an initiative focused around decreasing domestic violence on historically black colleges and campuses. From this role Ms. Beal was offered the opportunity to speak at the White House to make recommendations on domestic violence. Beal believes that the youth must be taught not to put a ceiling on what they want to achieve and that everyone has to create their own path to greatness.   Beal earned her bachelors from Howard University and Master in Public Administration from Metropolitan College of New York City

                        Lauren Legette-Hampton 2011   Lauren P. In April, Lauren was recognized by ESSENCE Magazine in their 20th Anniversary issue for her dynamic career movements. The article served as an inspiration for women looking to make a career change.   Throughout the community, her philanthropic duties include volunteering with the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Girl Scouts of America and the Urban League Young Professionals. Lauren is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.

Brendan Francis is a native New Yorker currently in Chicago IL working for the University of Chicago.  He graduated Howard University in 2012, completed two graduate sessions at the Booth School of Business in 2015, and is currently a Masters of Risk Management candidate at Florida State University.  He genuinely enjoys working with youth and advocating the college experience, coaching sports, working out, watching anime, and eating foods. It is his ambition for this scholarship to be available to high school students in every city one day and he appreciates the support afforded to the HBCU Puissance Scholarship Committee.

Anastazia Neely is a graduate of Hampton University. She received her degree in 2012 with a summa cum laude distinction and ‎departmental honors. She went on to attend Columbia University and received her Master of Public Administration degree from the School of International and Public Affairs in 2013. Since then Anastazia has worked in the sectors of government and education including the Office of the New York City Public Advocate, Harlem Children's Zone, and Harlem RBI. Currently, she pursues her personal mission of giving back to black youth daily as Lead 5th Grade Teacher at DREAM Charter School, serving as President of the New York Hampton Alumni Club, Inc. and collaborating as a founding board member of the HBCU Puissance Scholarship Fund, Inc. Ms. Neely is a frequent speaker on panels about HBCUs, Ivy League schools, black identity and primary education.
